Setup and capabilities of the Black Diamond integration

Tolerisk's Black Diamond integration allows you to map client data from Black Diamond into Tolerisk, and send information from Tolerisk back to Black Diamond.

Enabling Black Diamond on the Tolerisk web app-

  • Click on the dropdown menu marked by three horizontal lines located at the top right corner of the Tolerisk web app.
  • Select the 'integrations' option within the dropdown menu.
  • Click on the 'expand' button located next to the Black Diamond logo.
  • Click on 'enable'
  • Enter the credentials of your Black Diamond account in the username and password fields.
  • Click on 'enable'
  • Your Black Diamond account has now been linked to your Tolerisk account!

Importing Clients from Black Diamond-

  • Click on the "Clients" tab on the left side of the website.
  • Then, select the "Actions" dropdown. Select the option that reads "Open Black Diamond mapping."
  • If you want to link an existing client's profile to their Black Diamond data, you can do so by searching for their name in the search bar and then clicking on "Link to Black Diamond." Once you choose the appropriate Black Diamond contact, click save.
  • Once you refresh the page, you will see the Black Diamond icon that denotes successful mapping.
  • If you want to import a client from Black Diamond but have not made an account for them on Tolerisk, open Black Diamond mapping under the actions tab and select the button that reads "Create new Tolerisk clients from Black Diamond."
  • Scroll to the bottom, and click "Import and create."

Importing client Accounts from Black Diamond -

  • Navigate to the “Accounts/Groups” tab located under the Portfolio Analytics dropdown.

  • To add accounts individually, click the “Add account or group” button. Adding accounts one-by-one allows you to customize account names, target risk levels, and tax statuses.
  • . Under the “Type” dropdown, select "Account".
  • To create a group containing multiple accounts, follow the same steps highlighted before, but select “Group” under the "Type" dropdown. You will see all the accounts you added for the client you have selected, and you will be able to group their accounts together.

  • Once you name the account and set up other customizations, click “Save”. This will add the account as a row on the Accounts and Groups page.

  • If you want to add accounts in bulk, click the “Bulk Add” button. Under source, select “Black Diamond” and choose your client. All the accounts linked to that client in Black Diamond will appear below. You can then select the accounts you want to import and click “Create Selected”.
  • Once your accounts populate on this page, clicking the bell icon associated with each row and heading to the "Risk Monitor" tab located under the Portfolio Analytics section will allow you to view risk levels for your accounts or groups all at once, and compare them to their risk directive with a quick glance.

  • Once you have successfully created your Accounts and Groups, you can use these to feed into your client’s risk assessments. To do this, open a client’s assessment and head to the Ability page. When you scroll down to the “Assets” section, click the “Assets Worksheet” button.
  • When you click “Add Account”, a row will appear. Clicking the chain icon on the left side will bring up a dropdown listing all the accounts imported from one of your integrations, in this case, Black Diamond.
  • Once you add your accounts, click “Apply”. This will add your client’s accounts to the “Ability” section of this assessment.

Sending assessment notes to Black Diamond-

  • Once you complete a risk assessment for a client imported through Black Diamond, you will see a Black Diamond section at the bottom of the list of results.
  • Here, you can pick and choose items from your client's results section and compile them into a note that you can send to the client's timeline in Black Diamond. The video attached below will cover the steps above in more detail-
